Women and Girls Football is on the march....

Women and girls football is indeed on the march. The Wynnum Vikings is the place to be on the bayside for women and girls football. In 2023 the Vikings fielded girl only teams in the Under 9's, Under 11, Under 13 and Under 15's.

The Under 15 Division 3 side were a combined team with  other clubs and proved their "Storm" moniker by storming into third on the lader and making the finals. They won their first final. Unfortunately they went down in the Preliminary Final to end their season.

Further proof that Women and Girls Football at the Vikings in on the march is that Taya North finished third in the 2023 McDonald's SE Qld Youth Awards for the Under 15 Girls Division 3 Brisbane and Anita Atkins finished equal second in the 2023 McDonald's SE Qld Youth Awards for the Under 13 Girls Division 4 Brisbane.

History in the making! Get excited Wynnum! Senior Women's Football is coming to the Vikings!!

In 2024 Senior Women's Football is coming to the Vikings. Our first ever team in senior women's football commences in 2024. 

Pre season is starting on Tuesday December 5th 2023 at 6:00pm for the Wynnum Vikings Inaugural Senior Women’s team in readiness for the 2024 season.

We are still looking for players, new or experienced, for the upcoming season. If you are interested in playing for the Wynnum Vikings, come to the start of the pre season and also leave your details for someone from the club to get in touch.
